‘Broken glass’ is a new song. It jumps from singer/songwriter to pop to minimal music to post-rock to noise in about 6 minutes. So, it is kind of uncertain what it really is. Its’ kind of my personal idea of a shoegazers Bohemian Rhapsody.

‘Time on my hands’ is a new song. The song is about the fine line between cyberspace and your doorbell. Don’t worry, the lyrics are not autobiographical.

Daylight is another dreamy song, it has thirteen layers of guitar, which should be enough to make it exciting.

I like computers. They give you the opportunity to do just as if you were a whole band. Indeed Vanity & Jokes is a one-man band behind his desk. All solipsist ideas transformed into one's and zero's, and trying to make them sound like a real band (still lo-fi, but I'm working on it). Authentic & acoustic, but all digital.
Internet is also great, it allows you to act like a manager and a record company. Yes, the music is published. It's for everyone to listen to, to enjoy. The artificiality of the digital universe, actually provides the chance to make dreams seem more real.

This is what Vanity & Jokes is about. Both fake and real, insignificant and grotesque, serious and ridiculous.
