Upon Shattered Dreams was formed when guitarist Alex Griffin along with Connor MacFarland had decided that they were going to try to put together a deathcore project. So they began writing together and put out an add for a drummer, and that is when our first drummer, named Raul, had came a long and really got this band started; without him Upon Shattered Dreams would never have happened in the first place. Things wound up not working out with Connor so Raul and Alex decided to pursue other options. Not too much later bassist, Jorge, and guitarist, Gabe had came a long and started jamming with Raul and Alex and had suggested that Upon Shattered Dreams pick up his friend Anthony for vocals, who turned out to be a more than perfect pick for the band. And last, but not least, the band had picked up their keyboardist Zachary Sanders, who unfortunately left for personal reasons. Raul was asked to leave in April 2012
