About Our Guest: 
Hailing from the East Coast of Canada, Kim has always had a passion for finding out all she can regarding the paranormal. Her journey really took off when her maternal grandmother passed away, and she came to say goodbye at the exact time of her passing in a dream. Before visiting a reportedly haunted location, Kim will often dream of the spirits who reside there. 

She has worked in a series of media formats, from podcast inceptions to writing for television shows. More recently she has been directing documentary-style television series. She taps into her folklorist roots by telling stories that take your mind on a visual journey. 

Kim is currently a paranormal investigator in her down time, and has been to some of the most haunted locations in North America. The Conjuring House, the Lizzie Borden House, Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop, Waverly Hills Sanitorium and the Fortress of Louisbourg are some of her favourite haunts.

This week on Fika with Vicky’s, Confessions of a Wannabe Author, we’ll be expanding the idea of “Know Thyself,” to Know Thy Life, and Know Thy Book, while creating a confidence/book building list of steps. Perhaps, after listening, unlike Vicky, you’ll decide a list is unnecessary. And that is what to “Know Thyself,” is all about. Everyone is different.    

I’m pulling Authors Janice J. Richardson and Brian Greiner out of the comment section, to join us in person, and add their point of view. Different people, with different experiences, and different ways of seeing things, demonstrating that there is never one way. 

Why do you want to write? Do your writing intentions change the process?  

We’re also going to check in with what Vicky has done this week. How far has she gotten on her list, and has she tweaked it in any way? 

Is there a place for those projects that are unique. Does your cat write Haiku? Do you write stories about handcrafted staves and wands?

From Welland, Ontario Canada, Janice J. Richardson has been an encouraging force to many fledgling authors, and is an endless source of helpful writing information. 

From the age of eight, Janice wanted to become a funeral director. Having achieved that, she used her experience in the field to write The Making of a Funeral Director and the Spencer Funeral Home Niagara Cozy Mystery Series which has been acquired for television development. Being a special needs mother and serving on several advisory committees for special needs, she was inspired to write Fading Expectations. Alex Rondini - 
Has had an interest in the paranormal and everything weird since the early 2000's. Has been a co-host on Nocturnal Frequency Radio since 2009. Participated in the documentary The Dark Woodlot, and is looking forward to understanding the unknown.


Steve Genier - 
Have been researching and investigating the paranormal since 1996. Formed The Southern Ontario Paranormal in 2005. Investigated throughout Southern Ontario and into many parts of the US. Directed a documentary called CHASING SHADOWS (2009) showcasing many of the SOPS investigations. Started producing and hosting the weekly paranormal radio show Nocturnal Frequency Radio in 2008 after co-producing Full Moon Radio and The Laura Moon Show. The upcoming documentary THE DARK WOODLOT is set to premiere this fall.
