A few days ago we were surfing through the mountain of demos that fill up our email inbox (it's info@enchufada.com by the way, send us your stuff too!), when we found a remix of Hangover (Bababa) by Buraka Som Sistema that immediately got our attention. And considering the enormous amount of remixes we've heard of this classic Buraka track, that's really saying something.

Get to know Sistema Criolina, an artist collective from Brasilia composed by Ops, Pezão and Barata, who not only make awesome music but also promote events, art shows, educational workshops, you name it. Adept at bringing together the energy of electronic club music with the richness of Brazilian, African and Caribbean rhythms, it's no wonder that the boys have been feeling the Rasteirinha vibe, a hybrid between the slow cadence of zouk bass and traditional Brazilian percussion. Temporarily living in Lisbon, Ops, the main music producer of the crew, decided to pay tribute to Lisbon's most awesome band by slowing down Hangover (Bababa)'s frantic beats imto a rolling, hypnotic affair. The result is this really cool rasteirinha remix of an all-time Buraka favourite, that we're really happy to share with you for free.

“Back in the 90’s there was this huge bubbling wave in Holland. I was too young to join the hype, but i remember my older brother dancing to it and playing these cassette mixes all day. Hearing this music definitely shaped my musical DNA. I realized this some time ago and really appreciate the genre. Back then it was about speeding and chopping up dancehall records. Creating high pitched voices and the fast dembow riddims.”

“El Cono is my take on bubbling. It’s new. I sampled Gully Bop’s “Pussy Specialist”, the classic Bam Bam Riddim and added my own shit. There’s some crazy pitching going up and down, weird vocal effects, an unexpected drop and enough bass for days. 
Combining the classic bubbling with today’s sound, to me, is what makes it Future Bubbling.”

“Those are basically 2 bubbling remixes i made exclusively for my 2015 Europe Summertour. 
Almost always i played one after the other. I made really long outro’s which makes them easy and fun to mix. Probably the biggest hits of 2015 and most remixed songs ever, lol, but i still wanted to share my bubbling versions with the people.”

Here's a quick edit I did for my Club Atlas tour of "Na Madruga" by the awesome Bad$ista (@badsista) & Tap (@t_a_p92). All credit goes out to them and the original badass song they did, so if you like this please go and follow them. I left the first drop as it was and only flipped it closer to my world from the second drop on. Hope you like it. I fell in love with this flute the minute I heard it.

Here's a new joint.... It's been a while since I dropped something on my own (not a collabo or a label release). So it's nice to get back to basics. 

I'm really keen on exploring a darker mood on my tracks. On this one, I'm visualising a dystopian future, the aftermath of climate change perhaps, a wasteland with few humans and items of consumption scattered around, rendered useless.

What about a whole project with this vibe? Your thoughts?
