In May 2020, New Dawn Records brought you "Panacea" by London rapper Phoenix da Icefire & producer Husky Brown. The Brick City trio performed at Newark's "24 Hours of Peace" event recently, headlined by Rakim with further appearances by Marley Marl, DAS EFX, Smif n Wessun, DJ Evil Dee & Roxanne Shante, and in the past month have been guests of DJ Eclipse on his Halftime Show on WNYU and Rap Is Outta Control Show on Sirius XM.

They make the short trip from New Jersey to Brooklyn this Friday as guests of the Bodega Cold Kutz Show on GID Radio, then on Friday 25th September will be in the Sirius XM studios again, this time as guests of DJ Premier on his Live From HeadQcourterz Show.

East coast duo Constant Deviants return a year after releasing the critically acclaimed "Avant Garde" with a new concept album "Omerta", out 28th June through Six2Six Records on vinyl, CD and digital formats.

Following precedents set by Kool Keith's "Tashan Dorsett" and Little Brother's "The Minstrel Show", Emcee M.I. and DJ Cutt draw from their respective Italian and Russian heritages to adopt the roles of Luciano and Lansky in this themed presentation which has their trademark classic hip hop sound at its core.      

M.I. will be appearing in the new film "Six2Six" co:starring Treach, Selena Johnson and Chief Rocker Busy Bee due out later in the year, while the group will be launching a new "Tre Volte" freestyle video series in the weeks ahead.

Constant Deviants - So Underrated (produced By DJ Cutt)

New joint by east coast duo Constant Deviants who release their new album "Omerta" on June 28th.

"Cutt for President" is a bonus track recorded recently with MC M.I.'s instantly recognizable flows making way for generous sections of turntablism supplied by the man himself, DJ Cutt.

The Baltimore rapper is currently in his home city filming scenes for a new movie "Can't Live Without My Radio".  He stars in and produced another new film "Six2Six" which also features Treach, Syleena Johnson and Chief Rocker Busy Bee, a film which has been selected by the Hip Hop Film Festival to be screened in NYC in August.  The festival is run by Ralph McDaniels and Julien Lockhart

Constant Deviants will be performing in Baltimore as part of the LoudPalooza event taking place at Castaways on June 25th.  The following day they will be in NYC for a week long series of radio & press interviews, with a special album launch event also in the works.

"Cutt for President" received its first radio airing last night on DJ Eclipse's Rap Is Outta Control Show on Sirius XM's Hip Hop Nation.

Concept album "Omerta" has a theme based on Baltimore rapper M.I. and New Jersey producer DJ Cutt's respective Italian and Russian heritage, the pair adopting the roles of Luciano and Lansky.

In the traditional art of storytelling, the album presents a series of sonic screenplays set in the mafiosa underworld, depicting familiar times, events and cultural reference points used metaphorically to convey parallel meaning.

DJ Cutt's use of jazzy breaks, funk, rock, soul and electronica provides a perfect, edgy atmospheric backdrop.  As M.I. moves through the decades to set the next drama, Cutt's accompanying beats suggest a flavour of the time while remaining undeniably hip hop in nature.

With expert marksman Luciano kicking the verbal ballistics aided and abetted by Lansky's musical ammunition, these couple of hip hop goodfellas have once again produced a classic.

On September 29th 2017, eastcoast rapper / producer duo Tone Chop & Frost Gamble released their new album "Respect Is Earned Not Given" through Miami label 22 Entertainment whose back catalogue includes Royce da 5'9", DJ Premier, Fashawn, KXNG Crooked, Joe Budden and Bumpy Knuckles. 

The follow up to last year's critically acclaimed "Veteran" EP is again rammed full of rugged rhymes, battle bars and true life stories from Binghamton's lyrical marksman aided and abetted by guest artists Kool G Rap, Planet Asia, Canadian upcomer White Rhino, Tragedy Khadafi, rap battling phenomenon DNA, Bigga Haitian and DJ Waxamillion.

Award winning producer Frost laces the album with high calibre beats fusing classic and contemporary sounds with a healthy dose of turntablism resulting in straight heat for the hip hop connoisseur.  As with their previous EP, the new album produced extensive international media coverage, reviews and interviews appearing in publications from the US, UK, Europe, Australia and Africa, and a guest appearance on DJ Eclipse's Sirius XM Rap Is Outta Control Show, October 16th.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the classic album "Critical Beatdown", Ultramagnetic MCs are touring the UK and Europe in July

Hailed as one of the early innovators of the sampling techniques employed by producer Ced Gee, the release influenced future generations for years to come. On tour will be Kool Keith, Ced Gee and T R Love, their first as a group in Europe since the release of the album, and will be an extremely rare opportunity for fans to see the legends perform the classics live.
