Live Tonight

”At night I dream” is the first release from URBAN NINJAS’ upcoming full length album. ”At night I dream” shows off a somewhat darker side of the band. With the help of Daniel ”Aggy” Stengård, one third of the Swedish rap group ”Trappmusik”, URBAN NINJAS created a sound that catches both the beauty and the despair of longing. 

During the last four years URBAN NINJAS have been creating music inspired by 80s-funk, vouging and their outlook on the present and the future. With Malmö and London as their backdrop, the life in the city blends with tv-shows and music from their childhood, and for a second visions of the future and hopes for the present become reality. References like Evelyn ”Champagne” King, The Whispers and James ”D-Train” Williams combined with Toto and the view over Malmö’s shore are ever present. The stage has always been the ideal place for these influences to come together with the 80’s and its life loving aura. After the EP ”Oh, so Ninja!” and the live album ”Live!” it’s finally time for the band to release its first single from their upcoming album.

During the last few years URBAN NINJAS have been a live act to be reckoned with on the local music scene. Their energetic and colorful shows have gotten the most uptight crowds to let loose and dance away all inhibitions. 
Rumors of these intoxicating performances have spread and during last year URBAN NINJAS opened for both Mayer Hawthorne and Grammy Award Winner MIGUEL.

In a living room with a view, delusions of grandeur got mixed with a hint of ”D-Train” and a dash of Miami Vice reruns
