Inspired by City Pop, the idea was to make a series that explore the nuances of nostalgia when drawing influence from a well loved style of the past.
The concept isn't to recreate City Pop but to make new sounds within the Lofi Beats wave of 2024. Trying to innovate within a style by adding new sources of inspiration.
Drawing the essence of the early 2000's alternative Japanese music scene to inject it back into the modern style of Lofi Beats to give it a sense of freshness while keeping nostalgy and joyfulness as a vibe.
The series will also be complemented by artwork that is inspired by Horoshi Nagai and early 2000's Manga Comic art style.
