Inspired by Art Nouveau, the idea was to make a series that explores the progression and innovation within an existing art form in this case Lofi Beats. 
The Last time we witnessed a renewal within the "Lofi Jazzy Beats" style was about 10 years ago but the sound that we have today is so different that it almost feels like a new genre.
We wanted to highlight and showcase the sound of the years 2020's and celebrate how original and refreshing our current music can be. 
As time passes music constantly and rapidly evolves and no matter which decade you pick for a listen you'll have a different sound even within the same genre.
Our goal with this series was to showcase the new lofi beat trend of our decade and how it's possible to permanently evolve and innovate with music.

Beats Nouveau

Inspired by City Pop, the idea was to make a series that explore the nuances of nostalgia when drawing influence from a well loved style of the past.
The concept isn't to recreate City Pop but to make new sounds within the Lofi Beats wave of 2024. Trying to innovate within a style by adding new sources of inspiration.
Drawing the essence of the early 2000's alternative Japanese music scene to inject it back into the modern style of Lofi Beats to give it a sense of freshness while keeping nostalgy and joyfulness as a vibe.
The series will also be complemented by artwork that is inspired by Horoshi Nagai and early 2000's Manga Comic art style.

Tokyo-based producer Satoshi Onodera, aka ddddeeeellllaaa, is back with his groundbreaking EP “MMMMM.” This innovative project features five meticulously crafted tracks, each starting with the letter ‘M,’ representing a journey through diverse soundscapes and emotions.

And we are officially back from our Summer Break! To hit the new season off, we're starting with the first single from our new series "Beats Nouveau"! To start off the new series we have a beautiful track by ddddeeeellllaaa!

Blue was created while remembering the night scene of Tokyo during the artist’s student life. Back then he used to play in a club called “Blue” which was a cool Jazz venue in Minami Aoyama that hosted great live events and parties in the late 90s and early 2000s. This era of the artist’s life is very nostalgic and he translated this feeling through this new track as an homage.

With this track he’s defying the norms of Sevilla’s music scene and delivers a stunning experimental jazz piece.
