It's been a while since I uploaded a set on my Souncloud page. Last year I was quite busy with the start of my master’s program and took some time for other things during the lockdown (such as finally read more!  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). In the last weeks I got back to music stuff and tried to record a classic Darko-Set, which I probably would have played live in a similar way. I really hope you enjoy the journey and that it can conjure up a bit of festival and club feeling in your living room.

I'm excited to see what will happen this year, and hope that we all don't lose sight of the beautiful enjoyable things around us, that we can be damn thankful for every day. Even if, at the same time, I can understand very well, that a lot of frustration and gloom has spread in a lot of us. These are strange times and many things are unfortunately so unfair, and yet, somehow I also believe that there are beautiful sides in all the things that happen, too. 
I like to have this sentence in my mind: It’s always a question of perspective. <3

Frida Darko @ Home - Darko Lockdown Set 2021

What a special morning on one of my most favourite Dancefloors of the World. The Best Goodbye to the beloved Bucht I could have dreamed of. You set the Salon one last time in Fire. I didn`t imagine such a wild Floor when I arrived this Sunday morning, I will remember this one forever.

Here it is - the live-cut of my morning set on the brand new 'Theater' floor at Mensch Meier. When I got there in the morning, I was really blown away by the beauty of probably one of the most stunning floors I've ever played on, with the most crisp sound. Fresh sun rays shooting right across the room, wrapping everyone up in a warm morning coziness, providing all dancers with new energy to continue moving. And so it happened that, after a rather calm tribute to peace in my intro (in particular with respect to the current situation in Ukraine 🇺🇦), I quickly picked up more and more driving energy during the set and it partly ended up being a wild journey, with a smoother comedown in the end. Thank you all for your dancing vibes - you really got me going that morning!! 

I think from the imperfection in parts of the mix, you can probably tell when people were coming up to say hi, I was exchanging smiles and kisses with friends, or when I was just so much soaked by the atmosphere of the moment that I got distracted here and there. But that's what playing live is all about - FEELING the magic that is happening around you and being present in the very moment. And I am very thankful for being able to experience this again.

Big shoutout to the @ramschakl crew for creating this magical space and for letting me be part of it. And to all friends who came along for my belated birthday Sektfrühstück. What a gift!

Soooooooo, here it is: my 4h Katerset. What a freaking milestone. At somepoint in the middle of the set I looked around and realised what was really happening around me. People dancing, yelling, hugging each other, kissing - everything to my musicselection and at this crazy location. @kater_blau, the place so many storys are told about. I guess you could've read it of my face, how overwhelmed I was. I just had this biiiiiiig grin on my face looking like a very happy Honigkuchenpferd. 

Again thanks to all the dancers who made this experience so unique. And of course thanks to the booking  and the people working at Kater for making my stay so enojoyable. LIVE @ Bucht der Träumer* 2022 (Saga)

After six full weeks packed with music, sun & fun, my summer fairytale 2022 slowly comes to an end. I tremendously enjoyed the festival adventures, deep as well as nonsense talk & most of all, the company of old and new friends. This whole journey wouldn’t be half the fun without you! 

But before things turn serious again, I would like to share the recording of my the most memorable gig, I was lucky enough to play/ experience last weekend @bahnwaerterthiel. Munich, you stole my 💜. I just LoOoVvED playing for you and hope to see you again soon. Special thanks to my friends @uberhauptundausserdem for helping me to master this set for a pleasant listening experience 😘. 

Next weekend, I’ll be playing my last gig @slowclub Freiburg with @najesh_and_artisoko & @judith_ahrends before taking a break for a few weeks to focus on work. So, I Hope to see you there!
