Adrian Roman debut EP on Metrica label presents us one of his darkest and most melancholical proposals so far. Called "Providence", this release is composed by the Intro and Original Mix of "Providence" itself, another original song named "Young Hearts" and three remixes by the international artists Jepe (Portugal), Colossio (Mexican) and Locati (Spain). Alongside this tunes, we can find "Providence" Short Film, a videoclip exclusively recorded for the Intro Mix, written and directed by Rubén Valero & Mihail Comanescu and starred by the spanish producer. All in all, the three original productions build up the perfect journey experienced by the spanish artist Adrian Roman, when struggling at the studio in order to open up his feelings through the music. Intro version gives birth this short album as the perfect prelude of what Adrian is trying to express. As the "Providence" Original Mix materialize these feelings into reality, Young Hearts' take us to the dancefloor, giving us the chance to finally liberate ourselves from our thoughts, and start dancing in some kind of ecstasy. Jepe’s version of "Providence" brings us the most powerfull and killer part of the original, keeping the style and elegance usual throughout the entire career of the portuguese producer. The second remix of the title track is made by Colossio, full of extravagant rythms and analog sounds that will make you think you can touch the electricity of his music. To complete the EP, the well known Metrica's artist Locati produced a very energetic and forceful vision of “Young Hearts”, ready to be a dancefloor hit.

David Hernandez, born in Las Palmas (Gran Canaria, Spain), started DJing in 1999. Since then, he has been an influential part of many of the events and clubs in The Canary Islands.  In addition to DJing, David introduced himself as a promoter in 2011, creating Guateque. 

In 2012 he took the reins as resident DJ at Escena, playing alongside some of the biggest names in electronic music like Roman Flügel, John Talabot, Äme, HVOB, WhoMadeWho, Gerd Janson, Isolée or Marcellus Pittman. 

In 2020 he launches his own record label "One Hour Less" releasing an EP from himself under his aka Dunes.  His DJ sets present sounds between house and techno, influenced by disco, Detroit and Chicago style.

Atlanta-based producer Sejva joins TAU for his debut release, Black Lipstick. With releases on Diynamic and Nervous, among others, he’s al- ready established himself as a remarkable talent who fuses retro elements with a future-facing sound to cultivate a style that is all his own. On Black Lipstick we get four slices of Sejva funk, each of which presents a different side to the artist, demonstrating his dexterity and diversity...

The EP opens up with ‘The Midnight Bells’, a track that is buzzing with vibrancy from the first few notes. Sejva immerses us in entrancing synth lines and a grizzly bassline, with punchy beats and an all round ecstatic atmosphere. By the time we reach the breakdown it’s time to really get loose.

Title track ‘Black Lipstick’ feels as though it’s been transported to the future from the 1980s. A new wave-esque vocal and jaunty production encapsulates a feeling of years gone by, while maintaining the polish of contemporary production levels. Guaranteed to send the dance floor into a state of euphoria and positivity, this is a peak time cut that showcases Sejva’s unique talent.

‘Two Heartbeats’ features more vintage drum machine and synth work, with a shift in mood, taking things a little bit more downbeat. More mesmerising vocals give this track its distinct character, and we’re treated to a wonderfully energetic and captivating piece of music.

Finally, ‘Don’t Tell Me’ ends things on a high, with big room vibes and a melancholy, romantic vocal. Sejva closes his EP with a track that offers a transcendent experience to the listener, an electronic synthony of machine-created melody and rhythm that merges the past with the future to great effect.

Based in Budapest, Hungarian artist Mulya brings an inventive approach to his brand of electronic composition. Throughout his varied discography, he touches on disparate themes and sounds, straddling a divide between intergalactic design and indie-inspired beats, often mixing both into one amorphous, unclassifiable sound of his own. As a favourite of Ame, Dixon, Fideles, Frankey & Sandrino, Innellea, Trikk and more, Mulya made his microcastle debut in July of 2020 with ‘Chrome Extra’. The five-track showcase was a prime example of the Hungarian’s creative attitude, ultimately leading to 2021 projects via Innervisions, TAU and his own Complaint Kulture imprint. Now, following the release of his second microcastle project 'REM', Mulya delivers some fresh selections for the second edition of our mix series. Enjoy.
