‘Lost in Motion’ plants itself at the intersection of synth-funk, electro, and fuzzy 80s computer bleeps. Peter explains, “This was a very interesting EP to work on because it involved using a lot of my Moog Mother-32 as well as heavy use of my HCL Varis Tube Compressor and Buzz Audio REQ 2.2 Mastering EQ. Although these are tools for my mastering studio, I used them a good bit in mixing this song to really develop rich and warm analog soundscapes.”

This was my favorite song to write on the EP.  I decided to not follow conventional form at all and just write a beat-y tune with almost all emphasis on the percussion.  What came out surprised me as something evolving and soulful and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

I was really blown away when I got contacted to do a remix for DOOXS.  I hadn’t heard of them yet but the song was immediately very impressive to me.  It captured my soul, and I sought to create a remix that could carry the story and emotion of the original even further. I wanted to help create the atmosphere of the dark story behind ‘DIRT’, and couldn’t be happier to be a part of this fantastic release and show the world my spin on their single!

I was immediately entrenched by Seapora's single 'Traveling' when I first heard it.  It pulled me into the depth of my own soul, and I knew then that I wanted to be a part of her Seaflow project.  It was an honor to remix this downtempo tune, and put my own Future-oriented spin on it.  I always love taking a song and turning it into something completely different - it can be like a complete rebirth.  I'm really happy with how this remix came out, and I hope you like it too! From an early age, Peter Farr, best known for his alias Urple Eeple was playing the guitar with a passion and had an early love for blues, jazz and rock music. In his formative years, Peter began frequenting underground warehouse parties and became turned onto electronic music. He became enamored with early rave culture and it’s departure from the status quo. In the years to come Peter would spend countless hours playing synthesizers and learning the art of sound engineering and music production.

When Peter was in college he joined the collective “The Chillage” which met together on a weekly basis to critique each other’s songs. The members of this group would eventually form the prominent west coast record label, “Chillage Records.” During this time Peter would release his first EP, “Proper Fornication” and go on to release a number of singles on successful compilations.

To date, Urple Eeple is a vehicle for Peter to consistently deliver music that contains cutting-edge rhythms, ear-pleasing sounds and melodies that are emotionally moving. In his most recent EP, “Lost in Motion,” Peter has combined thick and warm retro synths with luscious chord work, and intricate rhythms that will satisfy the most avid of beat junkies.
