The first Moodfamily release brings co-founder and Belgian strong man AMyn to the table. 

The first track is the title track of the EP called 'Twisted River'. It’s a musical work that takes you a few years back combining a steady groove with an abstract melody that reaches beyond audible frequencies which will haunt dancefloors everywhere. It grabs and releases tension while it flows like a – you guessed it – twisted river.

Canson delivers a melancholic and deeply personal variation on the original twisted melody. While his piano hypnotizes, the main melody is cut, sliced and placed carefully, provoking subtle escapes from the main theme.  

The bassline brings more focus to this new mood which is created throughout the track by not grabbing the attention but rather fueling a sensitive groove. This brings the song into a completely new atmosphere fueled by a haunting synth which builds gently as the song evolves. 

The B-side, 'Gloam' might as well be the A-side as it requires somewhat more attention, but after listening to it for a few times it sticks to your mind. The melody is looming and it moves freely over a careless groove. It is a tad slower, but this allows a clear pronunciation of the musical phrases.

His magnificent ability to infuse eclectic sounds into his music that has been influenced by his long experience in the Berlin rave culture (Bar 25, Katerholzig, etc)is totally unique.

From the slow after-party vibes of 'Wonder Bitch' to the inner grooves of 'Mountain Top', our friend offers us two big tracks, shaped for the long Berlin parties.

Madmotormiquel teamed up with N.Y.N to deliver us 'My Ambition', an eight minutes gem. Pazul jumped into the boat for this release with a remix that intertwine 4/4 kicks with great percussions and guitar sounds.

Douglas Greed is known for his melancholic, organic, emo techno tracks. Surrounded by hills and forests, crossed by a river, far from the extravagances of Berlin and mostly inhabited by students, Jena is the artistic home of Douglas Greed’s music. 
His versatile DJ skills cover every mood in a heavy weekend of partying. His musical output covers a broad stylistic range while retaining its own clear fingerprint and often bypassing the conventions of purely functional club music.
Douglas Greed has also been spreading more bass-heavy vibes for many years in his live set-up with Fabian Kuss on vocals (who is also featured on ’Like Feathers’) and Michael Nagler on drums.
Douglas Greed - ‘Guilty’ will be out February 15th on Exploited. 2016 will also see a new track from him on a compilation by Recondite.
