Davor Purgar aka Oliver Turner,developed an early interest in electronic dance music through listening to it, and his first visits to clubs and disco venues caused him to start chasing the dream of becoming a DJ for the masses. He was fascinated by Dj-ing, and as soon as he was able to accquire his own turntables he started practising at home, in pusuit of his dream.
  He began by experimenting in the Electro area, but soon found himself influenced by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos or Luciano, causing him to redirect his attention towards the minimal. The abilities of the DJ's in the minimal area and the power of their music influenced his creativity and aesthetics so much that he could not imagine anything but minimal tracks on his turntables. Striving for more creative possibilities, Davor went on to master the software and hardware that would enable him to produce his own tracks, gathering valuable information and experience on all aspects of producing. Minimal music had become an inextricable part of his life, his chosen medium of expression. He not only enjoys being a DJ, but has grown to appreciate the extent of freedom and possibilities offered through working as a producer. Through all of this, Davor remains clear about what his definition of minimal music is. His motto, audible through his tracks, remains that "less is more". He remains fascinated by tracks which follow a clear line, driven forward by the essence of the music.
