Green Light

Inspiration comes and goes like a wave that breaks and recedes. My musical journey feels like this all the time. I get inspired and exited. I compose, try different sounds, experiment, I write lyrics. It’s always back and forth. At the end there is a song and sometimes I don’t even know how I got there. Creating is somehow not knowing where to end up. The thing you make takes you on a journey and at the same time tells you what to do next. But it rarely tells you when it’s finished. So it feels good to finally share my work with you.

O'Swald is a Berlin based songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer. He uses various genres such as jazz, indie soul, indie pop, funk and new wave and combines multi-layered harmonies, acoustic and electronic sounds into rhythmic, dreamy soundscapes. In this way O'Swald forms his own melancholic and at the same time optimistic sound. His debut single "Stop" was self-produced in his home studio and released in March 2022. In his lyrics he deals with his own growing up, observes everyday life, questions social conventions and directs the view on fragile relationships, emotional instability and the longing for closeness and freedom.
