Hard to believe it’s been almost 100 shows since I started it about 13 years ago on a loose monthly schedule. Great music just keeps pouring every month.

The Ralph Lawson show on Galaxy 105 ran from around late 97 to October 99.

It was broadcast every Sun morning 4am-6am.

Ralph was the Back 2 Basics resident in Leeds, and still is.

I recorded the shows from early 98 to the last show in Oct 99.

Ralph was playing lots of great proper house music at the time, He got me into all this great music and labels. As we could hear the show each week to see what he was playing at the time. Luckily my mate (driver John) had a tape recorder so we could set the timer to record. Sometimes we would get back from Basics to listen Ralph for 2 hours. Then have the tape in my car for the week. Chasing down the tunes at local record stores. My friend Mick (Splitbox) is still getting tracks from these tapes now. Not all the recordings are 2 hours as it depended what tapes i could get my hands on at the time.

Thought i would share these great shows with you all. Its a waste having them sat in shoe boxes. I was lucky enough to have a guest mix on his show which was a great experience.

Some times he would have guest mixers on the show. Also if he was unavailable to record the show other djs would step in. James Holroyd was one and Huggy.

Hopefully i will work my way through the shows uploading them on to here.
