I don’t know, but since I last wrote about this outfit in the Fall, Faceless Junkies Deluxe have released something like 3 albums, 4 EPs and at least 50 new tracks of analog fuzz and smoldering electronics. Techno 18+ Vol 3 is another 12 tracks of drum machines and squeezeboxes chained together in the belly of some dank European basement and beaten into tune. Each of these are distinct but like the people behind Faceless Junkies Deluxe they’re disguised, hiding in plain sight as just random session captures rescued off old DAT tapes. “Faceless 909 116” is wild – you’d swear you can feel the Holy Ghost getting ready to leap out of you or a demon leap in as it spirals into a loop of snares and kicks and digital wails melting together.

These guys are shoving more work out the door than anyone could market (and they’re not trying to market these things at all) but don’t let that fool you: this is an amazing project, hundreds upon hundreds of tracks by now of one or more people who love the fucked up shit they’re making."
