I'm thinking about her too. Praying for her healing.

That Friday night in the coffee house I was hanging out with friends listening to a local blues band when Lue approach me and ask me for some money. After listening to his story of the hurricane back home. I really wanted to help. Lue explained that after getting himself caught up in a mess with local authorities he no longer could stay at the local shelter.  So of course we took up a collection and he went on his way.
The next week Lue was there again. This time my daughter helped him too.  After that I ran into him three or more times in the next couple weeks at different place in town; the grocery store, the Coffee place and the dollar store. Each time he was broke and needed help. I was almost broke too but prompted by my heart I was able to help each time.
Now you may think I’m foolish for giving money to Lue, buying groceries and a sandwich a cup of tea from the coffee shop. But the way I see it I'm only a few wrong decision from the same situation as Lue. It's the least I can do. So the next time you see a hopeless person. Help anyway. What's a dollar or two now and then if you can help your fellow man through a hard time and give him or her hope in the process? You might even be helping yourself.
