Hello sweet thing,

I've been studying dancefloors for years upon years and if there's one thing that they all definitely need it's more sexy goths shaking their shit. I've met many, many fucked-up goths in my lifetime. Genuine sickos, hot depressives, teenage weekenders, punk-goths, goth-punks, narrow-minded purists, skunky metalheads, new romantics, confused outsiders, deathrockers, dark nymphos and other assorted random losers and legends. I would like to dedicate this mix to every single one of those special people. 
Being gothic is stupidly fun. And these days there are no rules! However, some people will still insist there are. The worst goths are idiot divas with superiority complexes who are really focused on being as snooty and as stereotypically "gothic" as possible. Most goths are just awesome chillers who love goth shit and the whole beautiful schtick. And the gothic way can be so very beautiful. The best goths are always untouchable - immaculate - and most of them don't even really consider themselves "gothic" anyway.
Goth-spotting when out and about is a brilliant past-time. Some goths look like mutant hybrids designed by HR Giger - they wear chunky goggles and have crazy fluoro hair extensions. Other goths look like aristocrats from a bygone century and only drink red wine. Some goths just slap on a black t-shirt and shitty eyeliner or paint their face with runny corpse-paint and look like they're trying way too hard and in a very bad way. When I was a totally righteous gothic teenager babe I used to think that any goth could just approach any goth in the street and just strike up a conversation. I was wrong. Although my goofy goth buddies and I met many lovely new freaks this way, occasionally other goths just greased us off or totally ignored us altogether. This just made us even more misanthropic, spitty and broody. 
My interpretation of "gothic" is very loose. But I'm a pretty loose boy. You might not really think that I'm a goth, but I am. And you might not think that this mix is really gothic, but it is! Shake your shit!! Being gothic is stupidly fun!!!

It was originally released on their fourth album, Road to Ruin, in September 1978 and was the b-side of the UK single "She's the One" released on January 10, 1979. One of my favorite songs by The Ramones, love it.
