This song, whilst it sounds like a break up song, is actually speaking to myself as an individual and looking at my own behaviour. I caught myself being reckless and selfish; realizing if I carry on the way I am I would ultimately wind up alone. It’s about taking ownership of who you are and what you’ve done, you can’t hide from your mistakes or try and outrun them, you have to wear them and own up to it.
