With summer in full swing, Sidney Charles’ Heavy House Society imprint drops the new EP from Italy artist Mennie titled ‘The Dancer EP’ a super strong 2 tracker inspired by the dance floor. 

In the last few years, Mennie has released original tracks and remixes on hype labels such as Infuse, Desolat, MicroHertz, Visionquest, and Locus just to name a few. His music has taken him all around Europe on tour, whilst building his residencies at Tenax Club in Florence and Buongiorno Classic in Rimini. His style has attracted the attention of key players in the scene like LocoDice, Enzo Siragusa, Matthias Tanzmann, Groove Armada, Archie Hamilton and more and his first release on Charles’ imprint will only see his profile and reputation grow even further. 

For his first release on Heavy House Society he drops a lively and highly enjoyable 2 tracker titled ‘The Dancer EP’. Track one is ‘Wanna Dance’ something we’ve all been wanting to do for the last 2 years. Starting off with punchy skipping beats this is clearly aimed at the dance floor. Mennie combines cleverly effected chords and synths to create an effortless groove that pulls you in and gets you in the mood to groove. 

On the flip side we have ‘Just Music’ which has a very elegant feel to it which stems from the background chords and pads. Mennie then injects the energy which comes from the bass line groove delivering a fun and yet refined track for those with a discerning ear.

Bursting onto the scene in 2018 with the single ‘Shake Your Body’, George Smeddles has since climbed the ranks of the house scene at an exponential rate via releases for prominent labels such as Defected, Ultra, KOOKOO and Resonance Records, and also recently launching his new label South. 

Behic Fellowes's musical journey continues to evolve, releasing many tracks for labels such as Resonance, Subtle Records, Dog Records, and CTM Recordings.  

Lead track ‘Watch Ya Scent’ floats a monologue vocal over a punchy and rolling rhythm track punctuated with jazzy chords to maximum effect, whilst ‘Barry Can’t Drink’ keeps  up the energy levels as ear candy lead lines and a pliable bassline is intertwined with swinging drums.

Having recently reached Beatport number one with ‘Urban Shaker’, Manchester-based DJ/producer Sam Curran readies three new productions for Jamie Jones’ renowned Hottrax this April. Gaining previous support from Jamie Jones, Sidney Charles, and Franky Rizardo, Curran is back with another bass-heavy production that ensures an impressive return to the label.

The title cut ‘Twilight On The Terrace’ brings rolling low end and playful vocal interjections that create a rousing club track, while the bumping ‘Eric’s Rumble’ showcases a reverberating bassline in true Hottrax style, paired with dizzying drops and wonky stabs. Jansons' latest EP, "Studio Electronic", is a testament to his talent and expertise as a producer. Released on Future Disco's new label, Future Disco Dance Club, the EP features three new tracks in addition to the already popular "Feed The Night".

Kicking the EP off with a "Sugar", Jansons offers a sultry and smooth house number that is perfect for those late-night dance sessions. Featuring warped vocals, a cross-polination of synth structures and hypnotic beat that is sure to get dancefloors swaying, Janson's layers of instrumentation set the tone for an EP brimming with a unique sound at every turn.

Next, you'll be pulled in by the steady beats of "11 Stereo." Adding in layers of vocal chops and percussion which gently build up to the drop, "11 Stereo is pure house heaven at home and in the club alike.

It's title track, "Studio Electronic" continues to reiterate Jansons ability to create impeccably produced house music. With an abundance of high hats layered over funky guitar rifts, "Studio Electronic" is both catchy and danceable for those late night sets.

Completing the EP with "Feed The Night." Janson rounds off with with perfectly timed breaks and builds that keep the energy high until the very end. Possibly the most disco leaning track of them all, Janson's blend of nods to the 70s and modern electronic music is everything you'd hope for from the producer.
