Glass Beach is a unique sample library for composers and sound artists that combines experimental percussion and sound design with an oceanic sfx and ambient soundscape library. We explore a wide variety of different natural beach, bay, estuary, marsh and wharf environments in wide stereo with a richly-detailed quality that puts you right there in the scene.

Glass Beach itself is a unique place on shore of the old village of Fort Bragg, on the northern coast of California. For decades during the last century, the town dumped its trash in the sea, heaping it into heaps towering 30 feet above the waves. “The Dumps” were finally shut down in 1967. After years of clean-up efforts, all that remains are the tons of broken glass too small and plentiful to pick from the sand. However, the relentless years of tide and waves have turned this glass into something magical. These millions of glass beads tumbling in the gentle surf create a remarkable effervescent sound you won’t find any other place on earth.

Ambient Theme - Ambient Background Music | Inspirational Background Music

I've always appreciated how classical music can tell a story with the absence of vocals and a back beat, so I decided to take an unreleased project I started, with the help of my friend Brian Miller back in 2009, and strip it down to only piano. This song is a lot more emotional than what I'm use to creating, and it embodies those particular moments of loss and heartbreak. If it makes you feel nostolgic about a certain time in your life, I'd love to hear about it in the comments. Relax, listen, and enjoy!

Delectatio // Broken World

We are proud to announce our last release of this year by øjeRum entitled "A Certain Grief"

"II" is taken from "A Certain Grief" which will be released December 19th.

All sounds were recorded at Paw Gabrowski's (øjeRum) his girlfriends parents house. They live remote in the country side and have a really old pump organ in the living room. It's a really old house and in winter they only heat up this room for special occasions. He recorded this two winters ago in freezing cold, with gloves on and candlelights. All background sounds are the actual sounds that were in the house while recording; the creaking chair, the crackling and pumping of the organ, the everyday noises of the family talking and working in the kitchen next door.

This release is available in beautiful packages, the C40 cream cassette was pro dubbed and comes in a lovely eco natural Maltese cross cassette box with several øjeRum collages printed on the panels. There's an extra øjeRum art picture included.
The CD is a pro dubbed high quality white Cdr in a beautiful hand made package with øjeRum collages photo's on the black enveloppe and eco brown kraft wallets.

Home For The Holidays

Best to listen with headphones, as there is panning and some sounds that can't be heard without them. All ambient noise was made with random objects that I found around my room, like keys and cans. I plan on making a full album with several different styles, so stay tuned for more!
