There are a few parts in the set where you can clearly hear how essential it is to maintain a certain level of intensity and energy during the performance. Be it the amount of effects or the dynamics itself - everything is adapted to the live situation in the environment. Nevertheless, it is kept within limits and is sufficient to listen to.

Based out of Upstate NY, Matthew Antico also known as PS11 is a techno DJ and Producer. Growing up between Southern California and NYC,  Matt’s musical influences are as varied as the places he grew up. His parents, both lovers of music, not only introduced him to the music they grew up on but encouraged him to find music that moved him. Because of that influence, music became a deeply rooted passion, and he found himself seeking out less-heard underground music. Learning to play guitar & drums at 13 he went on to play in a number of bands in Southern California. In 1996 He decided to move to NYC full-time, and It wasn’t long after that he found himself walking into his first rave at the famed ROXY nightclub. Immediately taken with the dark atmosphere and pounding grooves, it wasn’t long until he picked up his first pair of Technics 1200s. After spending years in the NYC techno scene, Matt stepped away, taking a well-needed break to focus on his health, family, and career. In that time away he joined the Albany-based post-metal band YOMA and recorded a few records and EPs which he had a hand in most of the recording, mixing, and mastering process. In 2016, Matt slowly refocused his musical efforts on DJ’ing and producing techno and in 2022 began releasing tracks with labels such as Mastoid Kollektive, Chicago Jaxxx, and Random Select Records, with a forthcoming release on E-HRZN Records based out of Miami. PS11’s DJ sets and productions are percussive and raw taking cues from his roots with late 90’s and early 2000s techno. The future is unwritten, but PS11 plans to continue this journey of music production with a love for the music, craft, and creative process, and to continue to grow as a musician one day at a time.

Mode_1 is a techno producer and DJ and a resident for one of the most consistent collectives in Dublin, Subject. He produces clean and powerful peak time techno and his DJ sets would be best described as fast and trippy with a groove. As a Subject resident, he plays regularly at two of the city’s best venues, District 8 and Index as well as festivals such as Life Festival, Electric Picnic and Boxed Off.

Mode_1 started releasing music in 2018with his track “Oíche” featured on Berghain resident Fiedel’s Double Mixpack EP, Appendix.2019was an exciting year for the artist with the release of his debut E.P “Final Approach” on French label Knotweed Records and later featured his track “Return” on Fiedel’s new label Super Sound Tool.2020 sawMode_1 back on Knotweed with his EP “Mainframe” and on Fiedel’s label Fiedel Two with the ‘’4x4 Series Pt1’’ EP as well asa release on the legendary label, Naked Lunch Records with his EP ‘’Pusher’’.

The artist has released music on labels such as Insolate & Volster’s imprint, Out of PlaceRecords, Spanish label, Prophecy and Irish labels CircuitStructureRecords and Research Label. 
Mode_1 has also released 3 independent EPs as part of the M1M series and has had the honor of doing remixes for artists such asTruncate , Vinicius Honorio, and Jay Clarke.

The artist has since released his 3rd and 4th consecutive EPs,“Movements”and“Reactor”on KnotweedRecords

Jerónimo Jorge Aka Lezther is an Argentine DJ/Producer, born in 1998. He began his interest in mixing in 2020 when he purchased his first Pioneer controller. In 2022 he pursued a career as a professional DJ in Arjaus, where he learned to mix with CDJ and Vinyl formats. He has managed to perform in the Holographic Techno cycle, sharing a booth with Bruno Ledesma aka Ledd and Gonzalo Trejo.

He began to enter the world of production at the end of 2022, with 2023 being where he achieved great improvement after completing a degree in music production at Sonica School.He has released his first EP on the Argentine label Concepto Hipnótico and has achieved second place in the remix competition for the track “Slam – Exhibit 1”, achieving a release on Soma Records.

MIX DESCRIPTION:
Their sound is defined by being hypnotic, dark, mental and powerful, always focusing on movement, modulations and textures. Their sessions are characterized by maintaining a hypnotic, powerful and dark line, with a large amount of atmosphere and texture, where movement and long-lasting mixes stand out to maintain a good level of energy and gradually enter the most intense climates and dark.

My next guest is Melbourne based, BERGA. 

Matheus Bergamim (BERGA) was born in São Paulo SP, Brazil into a family of musicians. Growing up amidst choir group rehearsals and instrument tuning, Berga began his musical journey with gospel, jazz, samba, and psychedelic rock. Taught himself to play drums, guitars, bass, piano and violins before discovering a passion for raw/hypnotic techno and synthesisers, consequently leading big influences in his own music productions and live sets. 

Berga is the co-founder of the Melbourne/Naarm-based art collective, Opportunity, and performs his original productions and live sets in Techno clubs, “bush doofs,” and independent events in Australia. Berga's hybrid live set is a play between synthesisers and guitars mixed with all his music references and cultural background.
