Last year's '4' album saw Mr. Luke Vibert's first venture as Kerrier District in over a decade. And a successful venture it was at that – with the album becoming into an essential long player, and ranking as one of Bleep's top albums of 2015, Now, to mark Hypercolour's 50th single release, four of electronic music's heavyweights have brought forward three strong reworkings of 4: Ricardo Villalobos & Max Loderbauer, Head High (aka Shed) and RA Best Live Act of 2015, KiNK – whose remix comes up trumps in our eyes.

In his take on album favourite, "Techno Disco", KiNK deploys a spacey synth melody and a Reese-style bassline – transforming it into an energetic peaktime track, with elements not falling sonically far from a UR record.

Over the past few years Play It Say has become an essential label for DJs looking to make a very real and unique impact on the dance floor. Once again here they live up to that reputation with a superb single from a mysterious new project, Day or Night, with a little help from the one and only Seth Troxler.

Nothing is known about Day or Night but it’s clear listening to this single that whoever is behind the music has been around a while and has a true understanding of club dynamics. That he/she/they enlist a guest as high profile as Seth Troxler also speaks to their stature. Troxler is in a real purple patch right now with his Lost Souls of Saturn project with Phil Moffa: it is reimagining the sci-fi roots of techno with ambient, cinematic and psychedelic influences that were all laid out on the pair’s recent debut album.

‘Me, You, Us’ is an epic musical adventure built on modulated synth lines and with a real sense of narrative. The rhythms are loose and techno in style, the synths are experimental and the vocals are ghoulish. It adds up to the sort of trip that would form the highpoint in any set and brings together a world of different influences that are compelling and fresh from start to finish.

The marvellous Chilean blooded "Llovizna", produced by the talented Felipe Venegas & Francisco Allendes was originally released in 2009 on Cadenza 40th vinyl release. We are delighted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its publication with a crisp remix by the mighty Luciano and a rework hot off the press by its original writers. Furthermore, there will be another heavyweight remixer,a big surprise and an appreciated comeback: Loco Dice need no introduction, and his remix of this Cadenza classic leaves us speechless. A magnificent bond of the original latin vibes and astonishing peak-time sound manipulation with a relentless pace. The remixes and the rework will be released both on a vinyl E.P. and in digital format.
"Llovizna" is a track with an indissoluble bound with Cadenza's South America roots, a bound perpetually fortified by the origin of many of the artists involved with the label, and by the choice to host amazing massive events in Chile and in the rest of the continent. A funky bass line and full- bodied reverberating jazz drums make out Luciano's bubbly and shiny remix. The cutting edge climactic sequencing of its synthesisers and the seasoned use of percussive breaks and fills exalt the emotional interlude of the folkloric female Latin chant, just before a fully fledged dancefloor oriented restart.
The rework delivered by Felipe and Francisco starts off banging with a resolved bass drum, rattling shakers and fierce hi-hats. Subtle melodies slowly raise from its minimalistic framework revealing in advance all the sweetness of its Andean singing. A majestic rework, which resonates far beyond from a dj tool aftertaste.

The 2-track-release presents two different ideas of club music. The lead track, “Sueño“ (Side A) is a dreamy yet bass-driven composition featuring DJ Gigola’s soft vocals. Side B shows a breaky high-energy approach towards nostalgic rave culture. The EP will be released February 14th 2020 in digital formst as well as limited press of 500 hand numbered vinyl copies.
