I have been a long time fan of The Model Health Show podcast. Hosted by Shawn with Anne doing the work behind the scenes, their podcast is for everyone. I studied exercise science in college and minored in health and I can honestly say I have learned more from their show about my body, health, and wellness than I did in school. So I highly recommend you check out their podcast, it's mind-blowing, you won't regret it.&nbsp;  But one particular episode really caught my attention. Actually two episodes. And they were the ones featuring Anne. In that episode her and Shawn get real about their marriage and it's able to thrive.&nbsp;So I had to have Anne on to share all her knowledge and experience on what it takes to make a marriage great.&nbsp;  In this episode we talk about Tony Robbins' 6 core human needs and how implementing their learnings from him brought clarity into their marriage. How she overcame irritations, learned to communicate more productively, taking differences and finding a way to make them work together as a couple and not just exist as two separate people in one house. We also touch on why Anne is a firm believer in taking care of herself first and how it impacts herself and her family. And how she creates the beautiful family atmosphere they have in their home of freedom, fun and realness without being fake.  You guys this episode is gold. There are so many nuggets of wisdom that we can walk away with for ourselves, our marriage, our family and all the in-between. So grateful for her getting real with us, so we can learn from her journey and experiences. 023: Having an Intentional Thriving Marriage & a Fun and Real Family

2 out of 1000 Women are silently suffering from a medical condition called Vaginismus. In this episode I met a gracious women, Marni Scott, who was super willing to be open and share her personal journey and victory over vaginismus with the help of the Women's Therapy Centerin New York.&nbsp;But I hope that with this episode we can bring more awareness to this condition that many women don't realize they have or are silently suffering from because they don't know anyone else experiencing it or feel embarrassed about it.  &nbsp;Vaginismus is an involuntary tightening of the pelvic floor muscles in anticipation of vaginal penetration. And in this episode we will learn more about what's happening physically when you have vaginismus,&nbsp;how that can affect a women mentally and physically while married,&nbsp;how Marni and her husband found hope in finding the Women's Therapy Center, what treatments were like and how they saved their marriage.&nbsp;

024: Living with Vaginismus

I loved having Anna on the podcast and I wished it had been under better circumstances. But I felt like her story, although such a tragedy, could be a light in the dark for those who have lost a child and are dealing with grief.&nbsp;  Anna wrote a New York Times best selling book called "Rare Bird", in which she talks about dealing with her early raw stages of grief, after the loss of her 12 year old son Jack, who drowned in a creek behind a friends' house. I love how well she gives freedom to those grieving and insight to the fact that we all handle grief differently. Anna also shares some super helpful tips on how to serve a grieving family.
