Miajica follows up on his ‘Second Spring’ EP on Origami Sound with a physical release that features remixes from Acid Pauli, Wareika and Alma Negra. The digital version will surface on November 2

There is a certain melancholy yet highly comforting mood that Miajica is good at conjuring through his more elaborate and sensitive tracks. The two originals on his 'I Forgot About Love' EP are probably the best examples in his discography so far of such a mood. Both the Middle Eastern themed 'I Forgot About Love' and the dubby 'Au bord de l'eau' are deep, groovy and immersive long-play tracks, devised for that ideal crowd that likes to indulge in the process and catch every detail.

Acid Pauli and Wareika contribute with even more brilliant detail work, retouching the originals in surprising and sophisticated ways. Acid Pauli gives his 'I Forgot About Acid' remix a minimalistic, spaced-out, acid infused twist, creating a tangible world of new sounds and superb musical moments. Wareika take their original - already an Alma Negra dub - out of its comfort zone and rework it into an anthem by adding extra spatiousness, an honest, universally-appealing vocal hook and perfecting everything around the soothing melody with the help of their own instrumentation.

"I Forgot About Love" is the seventh 12" release within our collective of labels. Wareika's Vocal Dub of "Au bord de l'eau" will be available exclusively on the 12" release, while the instrumental version replaces it on the digital version.

Das zweite Release des noch jungen Labels @delightsearthly steht in den Startlöchern. Um kulturelle und vielfältige Musik zu veröffentlichen, haben sich die Macher für eine EP des Kanadiers @kora-musique, der bereits auf Kindisch publizierte, entschieden. Am 16. Januar 2017 soll seine Deep-House-Kollektion „Fragile“ in digitaler Version erscheinen. Gleich der Opener der EP, „Vayu“, ist ein wunderschön strukturiertes Werk geworden, das von einer melodischen Wärme überschwemmt wird. Kora zeigt mit der Produktion eine gewisse Leichtigkeit und eine zarte Annäherung an Drums, während arabischer Gesang die Nummer abrundet. (...) Ein Remix kommt von @timur-sardarov alias Timujin. Es waren verschiedene Ideen, die die neue EP vom Produzenten-Gespann @innellea prägten. „Unser Fokus lag auf einer minimalistischeren, dafür präzieseren Arbeit, nach dem Motto: „Weniger ist mehr““, erklärt das Duo. Herausgekommen ist die 3-Track-starke EP „Najachoka“, die am 13. Februar 2017 erscheinen soll. Produziert wurden die Nummern in ihren Studios in Augsburg und München. Wie schon ihre „Saladin“ EP wird auch die neueste Kollektion auf dem Münchner Imprint Musica Autonomica (@club-autonomica) publiziert. (...)

Seine eigentliche Idee war es, den Sound zu reduzieren und Synthesizern die erste Geige zu überlassen. „Am Ende ist es aber dann doch recht dicht geworden und natürlich konnte ich auch nicht darauf verzichten, das Ganze mit organischen Percussions und Melodien zu würzen“, gesteht @timboletti, wenn er über seine neueste EP – „Rooftop Hostel“ – spricht. Der Takt des schweren Bassschlags lässt etherische Wolken aus Melodiefraktalen herunter quasi nur so rieseln. (...) Als 40. Katalognummer erscheinen die Stücke im digitalen Zustand am 24. Februar 2017 über @3000-grad Records. Neben den Originalen umfasst die Kollektion eine discolastige Version von „Illegal Juice“ und einen Remix von @mollonobass, der die exotische Atmosphäre durch seine verflochtenen Melodieschleifen noch höher oszillieren lässt.
