FROM LEFT TO RIGHT THE INSTRUMENT CONSISTS OF:

WAVE MULTIPLIERS
The legendary Serge Wave Multipliers are designed to dynamically add new harmonically-related overtones to an input waveform. They “alter the timbre in exciting new ways, producing interesting alternative forms of signal processing which are unique in the Serge Modular Music System. Since there are three entirely separate and different types of Wave Multipliers in this module, an enormously varied palette of new effects can be synthesized.”

Variable Q Filter (VCFQ)
The Serge Extended Variable Resonance filter (VCFQ) is probably the most famous filter of the Serge system and one of the essential Serge modules. It is an excellent, extremely versatile general-purpose VCF that provides simultaneous low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and notch (band-reject) outputs combined with unique flexibility. Its trigger in, LOW mode and self oscillation allow a variety of uses from Oscillator to VC processing.

New Timbral Oscillator (NTO)
The New Timbral Oscillator is a precision VCO based on a classic Serge design. In addition to sine, triangle, saw tooth and pulse, the module generates a flexibly shapeable waveform. For playing the oscillator, there are two 1v / octave inputs. One of them is equipped with a portamento function. The module’s linear FM input features a VCA for dynamic results. In use, the NTO shines with a wide frequency range, excellent temperature stability and accurate pitch tracking. 
Its basic character is beefy and clearly analog. 
The NTO’s sound spectrum goes far beyond conventional VCOs.

SSG / Noise / DUSG
Smooth & Stepped Generator (SSG), a Serge Noise Source and a Dual Universal Slope Generator (DUSG) 
Triple module, multi-function/patch programmability at its best, even housekeeping (in every sense of the word)…

The Hypster from Non Linear Circuit adapted for the first time in 4U format.
The Hypster generates mathematical divergences in chaotic order and various dimensions. 
The module is a unique, original design featuring voltage control of the main system parameters. In synthesizer applications this module can produce signal waveforms varying from simply periodic to complicated multiperiodic to extremely dense and complex, both in the low frequency control range as well as up into audio frequencies. With an eight-signal output it can simultaneously control a large number of synthesizer parameters or generate multiple audio waveforms for individual processing.
