When eccentricity meets authenticity; class meets sophisti-rachet; concept courts magic; passion makes music, and purpose breeds destiny that’s when you know you’ve met a unicorn, but not just any ole unicorn, a black one. This black unicorn is Marliceia Jamese. That’s ME!

As a rising black female millennial entrepreneur who still has a 9 to 5, I’ve had many victories and just as many challenges navigating through a world that is male-dominated. I’ve even worked under sexist leadership and have even found myself having to work twice as hard as my white counterparts to only get a fraction of what I truly deserve. This alone can make a person buckle under pressure, but not me, I am a warrior and so are you. This is why I decided it was time to create a platform where not just women, but minority women can be inspired and highlighted. Inspiring the dopeness in every woman is not just my personal mission, it is a movement. 

It is time for the world to hear the trials and triumphs of femalepreneurs paving their way in society and creating the life they desire. My goal is to not only give you weekly news you can use and advice, but to also bring you real stories from real women. I am my sister’s keeper and I can learn from my sisters' stories of how they’ve overcome, what they’ve learned, and how they find a beautiful balance between success, love, life, and family. It’s time to deepen the conversations and explore the vast perspectives of minority women changing the narrative and breaking down the barriers of socioeconomic stigmas that try to put them last on the totem pole.
