THE ARTIST

Gerhard A. Schreiber, living in Berlin, was a member of post-punk and new wave bands in West Germany in the 1980s. He worked with the singer Markus and the producer Axel Klopprogge, both icons of the New German Wave. He composed film scores in the 1990s and 2000s and began designing a cool jazz album in the 2010s. The compositions were completed in 2023, the recordings were made in 2024. The album contains sophisticated songs, based on modern cool jazz style, interestingly arranged and sensually interpreted.
