From her earliest connection to music from punk to funk growing up surrounded by music culture in Los Angeles and also her involvement in the Music Underground for decades, Blackmoon 77 has had a genuine passion for music which spans across many genres and forms.  She has focused her sound exploration into creating musical journeys that convey her unique point of view and feelings through music. Since the start of her career as a DJ in the late 90’s  until today Blackmoon 77 has taken inspiration from the obscure sounds of post punk/wave and experimental, as well as a true DNA connection to Acidhouse and mutant industrial techno.

As a producer she has released on labels such as Discos de los Quebranto, Feral Colony and Veleno Viola. Her respect for the experimental rule breakers and innovators, as well as the artist who channel their world views on corruption through thier music have been  integral.  In this mix she highlights some of the earliest industrial punk and minimal wave/ synth artist to the newest releases that bring awareness and a message about the angst and joy of the human experience. Based in Rotterdam, she is not only active in arts and culture as the owner of Bureau Convoi, a lobbying agency for cultural organizations and working at Nest, an Art Space in The Hague, but she is also extremely active in the music scene. 
Be it at Operator Radio, where she also has her own show called "Ever so often", at the Grauzone Festival or as a great DJ. 

Her mix reflects her musical diversity in a perfect way. Menacing, sluggish beats, haunting synths and powerful electro crafted all together into a dark journey. Enjoy.
