White Lies is the first single of seven released as part of a new and exciting project I'm working on with my producer, Wayne Silver, of The Ice Plant Studio in Long Island City, NY (the following six singles will be released between March and September, 2020). As a young artist, I am working to develop my unique style, so a lot of exploration and experimentation is currently taking place in the studio. My previous songs have employed mostly standard "rock band" instrumentation (i.e., guitars, drums, keys, and bass - and ukulele!). This time around, I wanted to go beyond my comfort zone and embrace the unfamiliar. I hope you enjoy my first foray into the infinite realm of possibilities!

Time Bomb is the second single of seven released as part of a new and exciting project I'm working on with my producer, Wayne Silver, of The Ice Plant Studio in Long Island City, NY (the remaining five singles will be released between April and September, 2020). I was extremely fortunate to have my friend, Irish virtuoso fingerstyle guitarist Shane Hennessy, join me on this track! The timing was perfect for this to happen, as he was in NYC for a couple of gigs and I convinced him to pop over to the studio early one Sunday morning (not an easy ask for a musician!).

Time Bomb

"Hickey" is the third single of seven released as part of a new and exciting project I'm working on with my producer, Wayne Silver, of The Ice Plant Studio in Long Island City, NY (the remaining four singles will be released between May and September, 2020). Of my first 3 singles, Hickey is the most adventurous! We not only explored digital sounds and effects but also dusted off Wayne's Moog Memorymoog and Sequential Circuits Prophet 5. What we wound up with is a somewhat spooky "Stranger Things" vibe reminiscent of 80s pop that I absolutely love - and hope you do too!

Hickey

"Play With Fire" is the fourth single of eight (we added one more!) released as part of an exciting project I'm working on with my producer, Wayne Silver, of The Ice Plant Studio in Long Island City, NY (the remaining four singles will be released between June and October, 2020). The heart and soul of Play With Fire is rock & roll. I played electric guitar for the first time on one of my recordings. While I didn't do any of the fancy solo stuff, I did play a significant amount, which was a lot of fun! During recording, we still had the warm analog synth tones in our head from the previous single, Hickey, so we incorporated some great sounds from the Memorymoog In Play With Fire as well. There are also some really cool special effects in this one but I'm not going to tell you and ruin the surprise. A hint...they have to do with FIRE!

This is my original song, "Stick with What I've Got." It was super fun to do a collab for Instagram and YouTube with one of my ukulele idols, Christopher Davis Shannon (aka @banjoleleman on IG). Hope you enjoy this little tune!

Afterglow

This is my original song, "Coffee." After exploring a variety of digital and analog synth sounds on several of my last singles, I went more "old school" on this one - guitars, upright bass, drumset, keys, and TRUMPET! Hope you enjoy this jazzy pop tune about addiction.

Coffee

This is my single, "Drowning." It is set for release on all platforms on Valentines Day, 2021. In some ways it's an anti-Valentines Day song, in that it emphasizes being true to oneself over "settling" for someone. Is there really someone out there for everyone if we take this approach to relationships? Hope you enjoy and let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Drowning

Chloe Hennessee is an award winning singer-songwriter from New York City.
In the fall of 2017, Chloe won the NYC Teen Songwriting Contest sponsored by Guitar Mash
 and the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment. She then performed her winning song, 
"Awake," at City Winery NYC - backed up by Mark Stewart and the incredible Guitar Mash 
House Band. In the spring of 2018, Chloe also won the Teen Division of the New England 
Songwriting Competition sponsored by Eventide Theatre Co. and performed at the 
Finalist Showcase in Cape Cod, MA. In early 2018, Chloe recorded, “Awake,” at Power Station
Berklee NYC. Then in the fall of 2018, she recorded a 7-song album of original music titled, 
"Ups & Downs." This latest effort was produced by Wayne Silver and recorded at 
The Ice Plant Studio in Long Island City, NY.

Chloe began writing poetry as a small child. Once she picked up a guitar at the age of 8, she immediately began transforming her poetry into songs. In 2013 (when Chloe was 11),  she recorded her first EP, which consists of original songs written between the ages of 8 and 11. This debut EP was recorded in the home studio of musician and songwriter, Colin McGrath.

Currently, Chloe is in talks with an independent film maker regarding the use of her song, “Awake," in her film titled, "Love, Music, Shelter." Chloe may also appear in the film. Stay tuned for more!

She has also recently become both a Martin Guitar Artist and an Ohana Ukuleles Artist.
