UK newcomer FIFI FORTE has been steadily building buzz with her bass-heavy, percussion-led sound, bridging classic house influences with forward-facing club energy. Raised on Chicago and Funky House, she was introduced early on to icons like Kerri Chandler and Frankie Knuckles—a formative influence that sparked her deep-rooted love for the genre. Announced for Jamie Jones’ Paradise In The City this summer, FIFI now makes her label debut on Hottrax with ‘Carnelian EP’, landing 4th July and delivering three tightly crafted, funk-fueled cuts that signal a bold new chapter for the rising talent.

‘Carnelian’ opens the EP with simmering drums and minimalist funk textures, as a bubbling bassline flows beneath quick, rhythmic beats and grooves made for the club. Next, ‘Inner Funk’ oozes attitude, blending glitch-laced rhythms and staggered bleeps that amp up the energy through precise, cutting-edge sound design. Closing the package is ‘Fly Away’, where hefty snare hits, deep low-end movement, and finely sculpted percussion elements propel the track forward.

Manchester’s AJ Christou is back on Hot Creations with ‘Bang Bang’, his follow-up to 2023’s ‘Babaloop’ EP, and it’s a release that reinforces why he’s been in such high demand over recent years. With two original cuts and a charged remix from Italian duo ItaloBros, the package captures the depth, drive, and distinct groove that have defined AJ’s rise. Following up on his debut appearance on sister imprint Paradise Music last year alongside A-Trak, this latest release sees him step further into the spotlight on Jamie Jones’ flagship label. 

Title track ‘Bang Bang’ leads with crisp percussion, slinky grooves, and a hook that’s been igniting AJ’s sets worldwide. “‘Bang Bang has been a staple in my sets for well over a year. Happy to finally share it with the world,” he explains. On the flip, ‘EM District’ brings a deeper, hypnotic energy with trippy textures and rolling swing designed for locked-in late-night moments. Closing things out, ItaloBros mark their own return to the label and step in to rework the title track, turning the original into a hard-grooving, club-ready bomb that perfectly balances intensity with playful energy. 

Since his breakout on The Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin’ Headz label, AJ Christou has built a discography that spans Crosstown Rebels to Fool’s Gold Records, and has also established his own imprints, V-House Sound and Celesta Recordings. With global highlights from The Warehouse Project to Ibiza institutions in Amnesia, Hï, and Ushuaïa, he continues to shape the house, minimal, and techno landscape with a sound that’s his own: groove-driven, refined, and dynamic.
