I Don't Need No Doctor  Live@The Studio Lounge

Charles M. Mailer's authentic, partly autobiographical songs are true to life and act in the middle of everydays human coexistence and confusion. Influences of blues, soul, country, jazz, rock and rhythm and blues as well as personal experience of almost 40 years as a musician are unmistakable and form their own creative mix of styles, that Mailer itself calls Blu:Soul or Rhythm Soul.

Some pieces are made in collaboration with the award-winning American writer and poet Blue Freida W. Gantt from South Carolina, who has contributed the lyrics for this.

In April 2012, Charles M. Mailer founded the Sunhill Palace Band during a session at the legendary "Omnibus" Würzburg. The Band is a lineup of top-class live and studio musicians, which is compiled individually to assist in major concerts and events. Thereby a varied menu of own songs  and handpicked " pearls " of the blues history is served. Particular attention comes to the solo skills of the band members , what makes their concerts a special experience .

Einflüsse aus Blues, Soul, Country, Jazz, Rock und Rhythm & Blues sowie persönliche Erfahrungen eines fast 40 jährigen Musikerdaseins sind hierbei unüberhörbar und bilden einen eigenen kreativen Stilmix, den Mailer selbst als Blu:Soul oder RhythmSoul bezeichnet.

Einige Stücke sind in Zusammenarbeit mit der preisgekrönten amerikanischen Schriftstellerin und Bluespoetin Freida W. Gantt aus South Carolina entstanden, die hierfür Texte beigesteuert hat.

Im April 2012 gründete Charles M. Mailer während einer Session im legendären „Omnibus“ Würzburg, die Sunhill Palace Band, ein LineUp aus hochkarätigen Live- und Studiomusikern, das zur Unterstützung bei größeren Konzerten und Events jeweils individuell zusammengestellt wird. Hierbei wird den  Zuhörern ein abwechslungs-reiches Menue aus eigenen Stücken und handverlesenen "Perlen" der Blues-Historie bereitet. Die solistischen Fähigkeiten der Bandmitglieder finden dabei besondere Beachtung, was die Konzerte der Formation zu einem besonderen Erlebnis werden lässt.
