RUNNING IN THE "90'S"

so much keeps happening. i need to get this out there before it's too late. a full project under the faunagrave alias is in development. this is one song off the project, it's rough but it's what i have to show for now.

Movement I: Seagrave.
Verse 1
Her head was dunked in water shortly after she was born
In our father's holy name, her destiny was sworn
A sterling boy, unfathomably clean
Precious hair, and sparkled eyes

Father protect this child from living a wicked life of desperate grasps at autonomy

Verse 2
Now she thinks she's found herself,
She's destined for a life in hell
She curls up in abject defeat
Its not that she cant live with herself
But she cant seem to handle all the external accusations of deceit

Chorus 1
Her heart longs for the ocean and to rot within the corals
No one else gives her the freedom to define her own morals and
And she doesn't know where she belongs anymore
She doesn't wanna be strong anymore
And its your fault

Verse 3
His life became a chaos spiral slowly as he grew
Discomfort and self capitulation threw his life askew
It didn't work, the bullying and beatings she'd endure before she knew who she was for sure

His life was just a prison fabricated by society to keep her in line with normality

Verse 4
And years after she found herself,
Shes trying not to notice,
The disgust and the hatred in their stares

Its not that they don't refer to her right, but she has lost the will to fight if any of them care enough to threaten her

She doesn't know right from wrong anymore
Her self preservation isn't strong anymore and its your fault

Down by the docks, she stands perched atop a rock to fantasize about a grave beneath the sea
Everyone there would need her, her carrion the feeder for the fishes and crustaceans of the ocean depths

Because she found her deepest self
She's so afraid to burn in hell
She slips onto a cognitive reserve
She steals the razors off the shelf
Drive them in enough to bleed and say "this is what she deserves"

Movement II: Pride.
