On tap-dancing feet
And winter departs
In a grudging retreat
I’ll be fine

When cherry tree petals 
Are sprinkled like grace
And carpet the square
Near the old marketplace

Bridge
It’s only right now 
I’m coming untethered
Adrift in a storm
I don’t know I can weather
As icy winds howl
My defences are down
…All severed
