Duke of Wellington

The Rolling Fork Cotton Society was established three years ago in Brussels, after two founding members came back from a soul-changing trip galavanting across the American deep south. 

Delving more and more into Americana and the origins of the blues, they decided to form a band. The direction of the band was clear and its inspiration was drawn from a special place - 'Rolling Fork', the remote outback in Mississippi where Muddy Waters was born. 

The band today now boasts 6 members. Their influences are drawn from American country music, bluegrass, Johnny Cash and of course - the splendours of Irish and Italian folk music. 

The Rolling Fork is about music spreading joy, inviting people to dance and let go, dreaming for a few minutes and disconnecting from the rigours of daily life. They play some original songs, together with a well-established covers repertoire and always welcome a sing along.

Inspired country music from the US, Ireland and Italy, the Rolling Fork blend these identities with the Belgian and European atmospheres. Inquiring the interconnections between traditions and new trends, history and future, origins and new selves, the four songs of Bruxville will cheerfully bring you to a travelling atmosphere, where everything is possible and boundaries are by conscious choice. All songs are authored by the italian cowboys David Little Angels and Matthew Double M and co-authored by the harmonies of country girl Olimpia Orlandons, the magic solo melodies of the fiddle of Sara Fristland and the unstoppable beat by the drummer Francis Falcions.
