Learning About Canada's Artificial Intelligence Strategy

&nbsp; While still in the early stages, there’s a national conversation starting to take place about the best way, both strategically and ethically, to apply artificial intelligence within Canadian society. This is evident not only in the sheer volume of media stories about AI (with varying degrees of accuracy, as we explored in our Skynet Today episode) but also in the quality of the discourse within our public institutions. As you might expect, officials from research organizations such as the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research have lead the way, but we’re starting to hear voices emerge from a much wider set of public institutions. Take for example Michael Karlin of Canada’s Office of the CIO (part of Treasury).
