Adam X is back with his third album release under his industrial guise, ADMX-71. Following releases with the legendary label Hands and his own imprint, Sonic Groove Experiments, Adam paired up with L.I.E.S Records in 2014 for Redacted Files, a 12” single of slowed-down and tense EBM wizardry. Adam returns to the L.I.E.S. front with Coherent Abstractions, a brand new album of singular experiments that pull from every corner of electronic music's landscape into a comprehensive and propulsive full-length. 

Coherent Abstractions pulsates with fractured rhythms, vacillating melodies and mesmerizing compositions that showcase Adam's impressive history working in all aspects of the underbelly of electronic music. Noise and industrial elements seep into the album's 11 songs, churning the cold and abrasive into feverish new territory. Though Coherent Abstractions operates primarily in sounds of solitude, guest vocalist Janina joins "Bound and Broken" for a rare vocal collaboration on an ADMX-71 track. We also hear a frantic vocal performance from the producer on Nearing Obliteration which is undoubtedly the apex of the album.

Throughout the album the music sweeps from breakbeat noir, anxious electronic dub to reflective industrial modes making Coherent Abstractions an engaging and varied listen, updating a late 80's EBM tone into modern sound design environments, while pushing a reverence for the past and heading into the deep unknown of the future. 

For those unfamiliar with Adam's deeply rooted history in the New York underground, he and his brother, Frankie Bones, pioneered techno in a post-disco, pre-Guiliani, New York City through the late-eighties and onwards past the nineties producing countless records under and finally opening their own shop and record label, Sonic Groove. At the same time they began throwing renegade parties, known as STORM RAVE throughout the 5 boroughs. which was, until this time unheard of in such a major U.S. metropolis and opened the door for what was to come.

Their record store Sonic Groove served as an essential hub for purchasing cutting edge electronic music from which they imported from across the globe. The shop also functioned as a crucial meeting point for likeminded freaks throughout the city to exchange ideas.

Furthermore, Adam was one of the most notorious train writers in the history of NYC graffitti as he trespassed the system and infiltrated train yards during a time when it was thought that the yards were impenetrable. After deciding to exit the world of graffiti he focused his energy solely on music. As time went by we've heard Adam transform his sound from fast paced hard techno to metal beat driven industrialized EBM, the sounds of the train yard always present in his music carrying him forward.

"We Are What You Think We Are" is the tenth dispatch from the crew here at Lost Soul Enterprises, New York City, USA. This compilation features a whopping 15 artists who together represent all corners of the label's extended family, with frequent local collaborators paired with past guests of our various parties. It is served with love from us to you on 3 slabs of vinyl released in 3 installments.
  Each installment charts a different component of our sound: 10.1 highlights the influences of synthwave and postpunk electronics, 10.2 is comprised of razor-sharp acid and overdriven electro, and 10.3 delves into darker shades of industrial techno. Together, all of these elements loosely sketch our little corner of the sonic universe. Bionda e Lupo are like little you’ll have heard before, a boy/girl band like no other. Synth wave is fed a line of modern alienation, delusory disco to a disdainful drum beat, house emptied and ridiculed. Rhythms are stark, melodies are as mechanical as the lyrics. 
Today we present you a closing track from the release - Eckstein, ballad of bittersweet images and lost hopes.
They could play an endless game of hide-and -seek in so many rooms and up and down the halls that intersected and turned into dead-end porches and rooms full of wax begonias and elephant's- ears, or rooms full of trunks. She remembered the nights - the moon vine, the verbena smelling under running feet, the lateness of dancers.
Find her in the sweetest taste of watermelon, find her in the sound of the laughing children.
This is a win-win, slightly nostalgic synthpop, with vocals from the beautiful Bionda who added a bit more of drama to the track.

Six years after his latest LP ‘Busted With A Bag Of Bliss’ came out on My Favourite Robot, Canadian indie electronica master Sid Le Rock returns with his fifth studio album ‘Scenic Route’.

The new LP, which will come out on April 26 via hafendisko, is the result of a year-long production process, marked by total creative freedom in the studio.

“Reflecting the ethos of my over 15-year long music career, ‘Scenic Route’ is all about taking the long way — embracing my experiences and humility by continuing forth along a road less traveled, rather than seeking instant gratification and shortcuts in life,” Sid Le Rock says.

With a total of eight LPs, four of which were released under his Sid Le Rock moniker, it’s clear that albums are the Berlin-based producer, live act, DJ and vocalist’s preferred form of expression. 

“I’m an album artist. I prefer the concept of an album, because it’s more intertwined with all your influences, your musical goals and directions, and you can get away with a lot more experimenting, expression and explorations than you can with an EP. EPs for me are foreplay,” he explains. 

With a total running time of 60 minutes, Scenic Route is a musical journey through a wide palette of sounds, ranging from dancefloor tracks ‘Kismet’ and ‘Morgenfrisk’, electro masterpieces ‘Speak Sweetly’ and ‘Hiraeth’, vocal-heavy indie electronica gems ‘Slowpoke’ and ‘First Kiss’, and cinematic beauties like ‘Waldeinsamkeit’.
