"Some time ago we had a utopian vision that seemed impossible in an increasingly saturated market where the music business was taking the strength and direction where many artists were betraying their talent to sell more records and become popular.

Back then, two enthusiasts from their little corner in Paris decided to create a record label to give some positive air to all the pollution and toxicity we were living, a label where we could all contribute in a positive way to help children in the poorest regions of the world.

Who are you? Thanks but no thanks, we often heard, but over time the idea became a reality and with the help of many artists who without asking for anything in return did not hesitate for even a second to be part of this project Lost on You was born and that vision became our mission.

Today, after 5 years of foundation the effort of all led us to build a school in Sierra Leone where 207 children study happily since September 2021 in 6 well-equipped classrooms, with teachers well-trained by our organization and collaborators. Going a step further for this year 2023 we will open two new schools in Liberia in partnership with SoundCloud, but none of this would be possible without all the people involved in our project, from the artists to the media who help us without asking anything in return. This release is a tribute to all of them, a selection of our favorite tracks during these 5 years, for you and for all those who are still faithfully by our side.

PREMIERE: Rafael Cerato & Haze-M - Perihelion (Original Mix) [Lost On You]

D.J. MacIntyre's SLC-6 Music opens the new year by welcoming Dr Green back to the label for a new EP. Hailing from Sri Lanka, Daniel Claessen aka Dr Green's involvement with SLC-6 over the past year has been extensive including roles as a core artist, remixer, and label assistant. 

Immediately recognizable for his groovy and percussive progressive sound, Dr Green has compiled an impressive resume in relatively short order, with BCSA, Electronic Tree and Movement Recordings being recent landing spots for his tracks. Now, as 2023 begins, Dr Green makes a welcome return to SLC-6 with 'Ananta', alongside remixes from VegaZ and Evegrem. 

The opener and title selection 'Ananta' finds Dr Green at his creative best, with a contemporary progressive cut that takes square aim at the dancefloor through pulsating grooves, lively percussive arrangements and a healthy dose of quirky synth swagger. 

Selection two finds Dr Green and fellow countryman Gru V joining forces on 'Atman'. Together the duo craft a stomping peak time cut that excels through emotive chord changes and scintillating synth flares. Returning to the label for the first interpretation of 'Ananta' is Sri Lankan artist VegaZ. The Galle resident maintains the energetic pulse of the original, while adding greater tension across a two minute interlude, which ultimately spearheads a hook heavy finale. 

The release concludes with Evegrem returning to the label for the second and final interpretation of 'Ananta'. The Argentinean artist maintains the peak time vibe of the original, while adding a greater melodic sensibility through esoteric leads and shape shifting atmospheres.
