Cuando se lanzaron las sondas Voyager 1 y 2 hace décadas, la humanidad quizás no comprendía del todo que el afán por la exploración espacial podía mutar y cambiar los paradigmas establecidos en ese entonces.

El afamado disco de oro que contiene un mapa galáctico e información sobre la humanidad también tiene características pasadas de moda. Actualmente la ciencia comprende que las metas a corto plazo de las Voyager fueron la justificación real y tangible de dicha inversión. Todo lo demás, el romanticismo de que un objeto terrícola haya alcanzado una etapa interestelar, solo nos sirve para apreciar y poner en perspectiva que siempre hemos vivido bajo la idea de creer lo que somos, importantes o trascendentales por todos los motivos posibles. Y aún así, siempre está la posibilidad de que nuestras vivencias sólo sean un pequeño trozo de historia en el infinito.

“Voyager 2” como Ep intenta reflejar dicha noción de cambio e inclusión de contenido evolutivo. Estos tracks no fueron pensados ni entendidos para resultar con estas características. Pero así sucedieron y, sorpresivamente, el resultado a corto plazo fue lo que me dejó satisfecho.
