I've been thinking about these songs for the past few days now. It's cool how they were made during a time where we didn't have Origins, AIR, or the November 1993 prototype. I thought the way the songs were composed were kinda cute lol. So I decided to use this practice round to get better at swing, as well as see what these songs would sound like if they had a bit more polish to them.

I wanted to keep the spirit of the spng alive, but also make a few tweaks and additions wherever possible. I hope I did a good job!

Sonic 3 Complete - Carnival Night Zone Act 1 (FM Makeover/Snowball Mix)

The section this song was made for has a rhythm mechanic! Every 4 beats, different colored platforms will flicker on and off. Since rhythm was meant to be an integral part of the stage, the song had to clearly present that rhythm to the player. That's why the whole song is built on that steady metronome sound!

I really like trying to make sequences not only fit the style of a song, but also work under the same limitations. In other words, this works on the "8 voices only, FOOL" rubric. Having to re-instate the Expression for the backing organs was annoying, but whatever.
