At Trade in 2005 were experimenting with the concept of DJing by mixing a live keybordist, decks & effects, giving a more ‘live’ element to a DJ set.

Rosco on vinyl with the very talented Matich (performing on keyboards) at Trade, Turnmills February 26th 2005. 

Around this time London had an influx of Brazilian male sex workers who all came to Turnmills after working to spend hard earned cash, dance & party…when the Latin themed tunes all come on they went wild…like it was their Homecoming!!

“…the music sounded a lot fresher than my last two visits (both of which were good, but nothing new). Getting to Trade early for once did allow me to hear Malcolm Duffy’s opening set for the first time, surprisingly similar to the closing set at Heaven just an hour or so earlier, but all the better for it, as it got us all dancing, and warmed up a freezing Turnmills in short time. Gonzalo was also on form….Not the usual Trade-by-numbers, but instead another fresh look at the old sound, keeping up the pace and keeping us glued to the dancefloor was Trade superstar Rosco, before Pete Wardman took it back to the banging Trade we all know so well. I may have been BK, as I’d by this point lost track of time!”

“Anyway it was worth the wait as the night, although not busy as some of you queens seem to be hooked on Beyond, which is fine as you missed another innovative idea from the king of the after-hours club, Miss Malice as she introduced Rosco-Match which was a live keyboard set - fresh, dynamic and the future looking great for Trade. The multi-talented Fergie was just the cherry on the top!”
