PREMIERE: Hedchef - Guillotine Clause [Fly By Night]

The metallic clunk of heavy machinery and the shudder of cogs echoed through the factory floors; the only sound that could be heard for miles and miles. From the factories to the shops, from the restaurants to the call centres, machines were now in control of everything. Human's purpose had long been defunct — they had less power, less speed, and what's more, they acted out of turn. Robots did exactly as they were told, no questions asked.

To give you a taste of the sounds at the core of their imprint, Swiss label LBR Records have rounded up some of their roster for a 5-track VA that journeys through the finest electro, rave and techno. Amassing artists from across the globe, the release features music from York Hamza & Daao, who hail from Yerevan and Armenia, Copenhagen's Rasmotron AKA Inspectah Scratch, East German producer Cyan85, Moscow-based sin:it:sin and Mantra Mantra boss 11schnull.

This first EP of Human Rebellion is a nice overview of their universe. An atmosphere globally dark but also sometimes very deep and contrasted, composed of cold and percussive basslines, hypnotic arpeggios, sci-fi textures straight out of their modular and analog synths. Pleased to say the repress of BA050 will be hitting stores soon. The first in the Transhumanism series went down a storm and has been out of stock for ages. The original pressing was on orange vinyl. This time it’s on black with an orange sticker to match the second in the series and the 3rd which will be released in September.

There are no plans to sell this on Bandcamp. So check the decent stores out there - some taking preorders already.

In February 2016 5 people from the Bass Agenda family met in person for the first time at Whip It! - an Electro night hosted by Dave Clarke and held at The Melkweg, Amsterdam. 

Inspired by the meeting, the friendship, the music and the experience of the night they set out to make the 50th release on Bass Agenda Recordings - 'Transhumanism'. 

As a compilation of Dutch Electro from the deep underground the vinyl is a deep orange pressing and strictly limited to 200 copies.
