The table shown in the picture belongs to a suite of pieces of furniture crafted in the early 1990s for the interior of the Kremlin by an Italian carpenter's workshop specialising in oak-design.

After listening to his work (in particular "About when your papers had burnt" and "White Hat"}, I was delighted he agreed to feature his fret work on this track, a short study in stepwise motion around minor 3rd key centres, and my fondness of the Golden Ratio. Hopefully, the first of many creations together...
