This is a multi-track recording of an original song by Neil Day (me).  It was one of the first songs I recorded way back when I first got a digital recorder--I'm thinking 2002 or 2003 or so??  I honestly can't remember, which it rather pitiful.  Anyway, it's about a wounded sheriff out for vengeance, and the title was nearly the name of my band that started making noise together around the same time.  Shoulda gone with it!

Lion Man

The Radford Sessions and Beyond crew is made up of Court and Zander Sheffield, Neil Day, and John McEwen, as well as all those we've jammed with over the last 25 years or so (like ol' Andre Walker--if that is your real name. Where are you, dude??) We were were all close friends and jam partners during our college days at Radford University, as well as during our earlier school days (and childhoods) in Fredericksburg, VA and surrounding areas.  Radford Sessions & Beyond is meant firstly as a place to put all of our crazy drum jams, etc. from those Radford days, most of which were adroitly captured with the cutting-edge innovations of the nearest dollar-store cassette tape and a random boom-box's internal microphone. As we collectively convert these cassette-tape recordings of yore to appropriate formats, we'll stash them all here for preservation and (I guess) posterity!  For better or worse, we've each continued our musical journey since that hey-day, so secondly, this page is also a nexus for putting up much of our individual musical output since!
