We never felt that our original mix of Hide Away truly captured the essence of the songs live energy or presence but couldn't quite figure out what needed to change. 
We gave the track to Mike Lowe from  Studio 10 and, with no real brief, he realised the true potential of this track and gave us the sound we'd been chasing.

Silent Self formed in Surrey in 2016. 
After Tom Abbott and Steve Clarke met in a pub in Leatherhead they formed a simple plan to make no nonsense rock music that needed no explanation. 
The band quickly came together with the additions of Andy McDonald on drums and David Galifi, who had been in a previous band with Tom, on bass. Firm friends from the outset the band have become a strong and dynamic musical force.  
Sonically, the band are all about driving melodies and steady grooves infused with progressive beats and catchy hooks. 
All firmly in their mid 30's the band are children of the 90's Britpop and Grunge scenes which influences, but crucially, does not define them. 
Their Live performances are a considered balance of energetic showmanship and professional musicality. Infectious grins can help but transfer from the band to the crowd. 
The band have released their much anticipated first Studio EP ‘Wired for trouble’, recorded with engineer and producer Dave Needham at Dark Horse Studios in Epsom to critical acclaim.
