We are going to pause operations for a period of reflection over the next couple fo months and are delighted to pause with a killer EP by super talented Glasgow artist The Burrell Connection. We asked for some words and The Burrell Connection responded with the following -

"After a 2 year hiatus spent masquerading as Alfie and Dream_E, The Burrell Connection moniker is rekindled on Optimo Music with a blend of breakbeat club excursions for your aural pleasure. 

We present four tracks extracted from the vaults from the past few years, "facilitated by hyperactivity and channelled by the powers of Ableton, dub delays, samplers and synthesisers by Korg, Roland and Yamaha."

a variety of ancient animals, forbidden imaginary fruits and mysterious passions sneak in at night and look for a place of refuge to rest, to sleep.

The stalactites (Natif) are amorphous juice from the bottom of the mind, they are the seeds of confusion and irrationality and they seep through cracks in the cave and produce chaos and trembling until suddenly, out of a nightmare are born proud crystals of splendor and inspiring beauty.
