Operating out of his Rosario home, Mariano Favre returns to Particles after a 13-year absence. A renowned name with releases on the likes of Manual Music, Perspectives Digital and Lowbit, the Argentinean artist delivers twin original tracks in "Abundance Mindset", while remixes come from a pair of fellow countrymen.

"Abundance" is a flowing progressive gem with head-shaking percussive top-line, deep-lying bassline groove and heavy kick laying dynamic foundations. Building through its phrases, a rippling arpeggio adds synth joy as epic pads and ethereal vox create additional sonic layers. Building to a powerful crescendo, the track drops back into its vibrant cadence and evocative melodic phrasing to mesmerising effect. "Mindset" continues the angelic vocal phrasing of its partner track as a driving rhythmic framework keeps the intensity high. Soaring synth phrases, spine-tingling arpeggios and plucked strings add to the aural collage at the breakdown before a rising wave of sound heralds a second half filled with dancefloor prowess. Rising and falling ease the track keeps listener intrigue high while a pulsating finale ensures worldwide club support.

Another returning artist sees Matias Chilano continue where he left off with a fourth remix for the label. 2018 saw a trio of reworkings for K Nass, Pysh and Andre Sobota before the Córdoba resident graduated onto Proton Music with new interpretations of Huminal, Erdi Irmak and Sebastian Sellares in 2019 and 2020. Re-establishing himself on Particles, the Matias Chilano remix takes "Abundance" in a trademark direction full of rhythmic prowess and production knowhow. Taking the central melodic themes of the original, a hefty bass groove powers forwards while airy juxtaposed synths sit atop, steeped in emotion. Wrapped in a crisp new rhythmic shell, a familiar arpeggio and swathe of effects criss-cross the stereo spectrum to create a potent and accomplished new interpretation.

An Argentinean artist to come to the attention of the progressive house cognoscenti, Mayro has risen in prominence over the past 4 years. A prolific artist with releases on the likes of Perspectives Digital, Traful and Siona Records, his "Crazy Thoughts" EP in June 2022, with remixes from Kamilo Sanclemente and Blanka Barbara, saw him make an impressive Particles debut. Now returning, the Mayro remix of "Mindset" is a chunky rhythmic powerhouse that bristles with cavernous bassline and shaker-fuelled percussive intensity. Melodic echoes from the original resonate through the 7-minute piece as a swathe of new production material gives the Mayro interpretation a darker and more contemplative ambience as new melodic patterns swirl in mesmerising patterns throughout the second half.

Through a plethora of new sonic imaginings, Mariano Favre has created an "Abundance Mindset", ably supported by Matias Chilano and Mayro.

Abundance (Matias Chilano Remix)

An artist with a growing reputation built around a remarkable sound and a core set of musical beliefs, amháin finds himself at the vanguard of underground progressive house. An accomplished DJ with performances across his adopted Australian homeland, the Irish-born artist has seen production work in tandem signed to the likes of Vapour Recordings, onedotsixtwo and Meanwhile. A pair of remixes for Erdi Irmak and Michael A have graced Proton Music while a remix for Loveclub, Mariner + Domingo was a notable Particles highlight in May 2021. Now with the sublime, "Evaporate", a fizzing percussive groove and deep kick combine with ethereal pads and delay-infused synth motifs to create a shimmering sonic collage. Gradually introducing a swathe of complementary elements, a rasping bass note and razor-edged synth lead shine at the breakdown before the detailed groove and melodic flow combine one more in the latter stages.

Mike Rish is another rising Southern Hemisphere star. Responsible for a string of impressive release including a 2021 full-length album on UGENIUS, the Melbourne artist has found further success on GMJ and Matter's Meanwhile, Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Guy J's Lost and Found. Guided by a principle of selective musical output, Particles is honoured to welcome Mike Rish with a superb reworking of "Evaporate". Familiar tropes from the original reveal themselves in innovative sonic patterns as Rish builds his powerful remix founded upon new rolling groove and syncopated bass pattern. Club-friendly synth motifs come to the fore in cadenced phrasing before a spine-tingling arpeggio opens up at the breakdown to provide a hands-in-the-air moment, before dropping back into the mesmerising combination of rhythmic and melodic synchronicity.

Born in Hungary but firmly settled in his adopted Copenhagen home, GÆO is a fixture across the clubs of the Danish capital. A graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Music, the Hungarian is as comfortable behind the decks as he is in the studio with a kaleidoscope of "driving beats, dreamy atmospheres and moving melodies". As such, work for Embliss Records, Stellar Limited and the Visceral compilation series has seen GÆO grow in stature with an increasing body of work since late 2020. Now making his Particles debut, a deep kick and ticking shaker pattern provide the backdrop for pads from "Evaporate" to appear while a blend of new melodies from the GÆO production studio ripple in rotating patterns across the 7-minute piece. Gradually building in energy through an elegantly used open filter, the vocal refrain from the original appears, to connect the listener to amháin's work.

Stunning new music with remixes from Mike Rish and GÆO see amháin "Evaporate" into the ether with an assured lightness of touch.
