Make this moment last

I wrote this song while I was experimenting with lyrics relating to songs that were trending at the time. One of them was a song called "Last Night" by Morgan Wallen, and he kept repeating the phrase "Last Night" and at first I thought my song was going to be called "6am" because at the start, most of my lines started with "6am" but then when I mentioned the phrase "Rinse Repeat" in one of my verses, it was suggested that I repeat the phrase and even turn it into a title, so I kinda based the whole song on that.

The song is about a woman and her usual daily schedule and how everything runs like clockwork, yet at the same time, she is slowly being depleted of her wellbeing and energy due to the sheer monotony of her life. Sometimes in order to survive, we need to just get on with our daily obligations and hectic schedules, however we also need to take the time to reflect on our actions and where our lives are going, otherwise we will look back on our past and discover how we have led ourselves astray doing things without any meaning or purpose.

We all experience confusion, identity crisis and discouragement, when sometimes we just need to see life through a different lens, a different reality.

Reality

The song is about consumerism and how we become so consumed by the acquisition of things, that we become less gratified than what we were before. It's about putting your faith and identity into a higher power (i.e. God) or something that has more meaning rather than putting our faith into something that's temporal.

What Have I Become

This song is about learning to deal with regrets and the past decisions we make that may affect the future, while trying to find the strength to keep moving forward.

I wrote this song when I was at a low point after taking part in something where my fear got in the way of me wanting to achieve something. It's about learning to face your deepest fears, even if it's bloody uncomfortable.

This track is from my musical that I wrote titled "Betty B. Different". It is written from the point of view of Donnie who is secretly in love with the main protagonist (Betty) who only sees him as a friend.

This is a song from my musical where the main character is at a crossroads in her career where she doesn't know whether to play it safe, or follow her dreams.

So that’s it 
The law has spoken 
It’s time to open up all the books

On some college brochure at a school expo
I know this is my senior year
