Mass Brainwashing

AOTB is a Swiss band on the border between djent and deathcore sprinkled with inspirations from various other styles. Composed of 5 determined members, the band offers tracks combining technicality, groove and power.

AOTB is founded in February 2016 in Delémont, around the drummer Thomas Lachat and the guitarist Lionel Gerber, quickly joined by the bassist Nil Flückiger, the guitarist Pablo Lagares and the singer Jean-Marc Kottelat. During the first 6 months, Lionel and Thomas soon put their hearts into the work by composing the first songs of the group, followed by Pablo who then brings his important contribution. The band sees its first line-up change in February 2017, following the arrival of Franck De Luca on vocals. The writing of the lyrics of several pieces then allows the quintet to perform on several stages in Switzerland; at the "Corn'Rock" festival in Cornaux, at "Zelig" in Lausanne, at the "SAS" in Delémont, at the "Societ'Halle" in Moutier, at the "Undersound" festival in Undervelier and at the "Festilab" festival in Corcelles (BE).

At the beginning of 2019, AOTB starts recording its first EP "Mass Brainwashing" at "Greglerouxprod" in Delémont. The four-track EP denounces in its lyrics the problems of society in general, such as war, the indoctrination of children in certain countries or animal violence. "Mass Brainwashing" is released to the general public on October 14, 2019 and is available on all streaming platforms.

Today, with a set of about 15 songs, the band is more than motivated to perform on stage and is now working on the next album.

AOTB est un groupe suisse se situant à la frontière du djent et du deathcore, parsemée d'inspirations de divers autres styles. Le groupe, composé de 5 membres déterminés, propose des morceaux alliant technicité, groove et puissance. Ainsi, tout est réuni pour faire ressortir l'esprit bestial de chacun.

AOTB voit le jour en février 2016 à Delémont, autour du batteur Thomas Lachat et du guitariste Lionel Gerber, rapidement rejoints par le bassiste Nil Flückiger, le guitariste Pablo Lagares et le chanteur Jean-Marc Kottelat. Durant les 6 premiers mois, Lionel et Thomas ne tardent pas à mettre du cœur à l'ouvrage en composant les premiers morceaux du groupe, suivis par Pablo qui amène par la suite son importante contribution. Le groupe voit son premier changement de line-up en février 2017, suite à l'arrivée de Franck De Luca au chant. L'écriture des paroles de plusieurs morceaux permet ensuite au quintette de se produire sur plusieurs scènes en Suisse romande; au festival "Corn'Rock" à Cornaux, à "Zelig" à Lausanne, au "SAS" à Delémont, à la "Societ'Halle" à Moutier, au festival "Undersound" à Undervelier et au festival "Festilab" à Corcelles (BE). 

Au début de l'année 2019, AOTB commence à enregistrer son premier EP "Mass Brainwashing" chez "Greglerouxprod" à Delémont. L'EP de quatre titres dénonce dans ses textes les problèmes de la société en général, comme la guerre, l'endoctrinement des enfants dans certains pays ou encore la violence animale. "Mass Brainwashing" se dévoile au grand public le 14 octobre 2019 et est disponible sur toutes les plateformes de streaming.

Aujourd'hui, avec un set d'environ 15 morceaux, le groupe est plus que motivé à pouvoir se produire sur scène et de travailler sur un album plus conséquent.
