Born in the culturally rich town of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, Robert Rajeswaran, known to his fans as DJ Rob R, brings a unique blend of ethnic sounds to the electronic music scene. Growing up in London, Rob R was immersed in the vibrant beats of R&B, hip hop, and dancehall. These early influences laid the foundation for his eclectic musical taste.
Rob R's passion for DJing was sparked during his travels to events, parties, and festivals around the world. However, it was in Singapore, amidst the underground music scene, that his interest in DJing deepened. He took this passion seriously, honing his skills at DJ schools in Singapore and Barcelona, and through countless hours of practice at home and in front of the crowd.

Rob R's DJ journey began in Singapore, where he started performing at local bars and events. Since then, his style has evolved to specialize in Afro, tribal, and Indian house music. He also played across Sri Lanka and Vietnam. He has a unique talent for blending ethnic sounds with modern electronic beats, creating a soulful connection that resonates with his audience. 

Inspired by legendary DJ Black Coffee and the recognition he has brought to Afro House, Rob R aims to elevate South Asia /Indian House music to similar heights. His sets are carefully crafted to reflect the audience, location, and desired vibe, with a mix of must-play tracks and spontaneous selections that match the energy of the crowd.

What sets Rob R apart is his commitment to infusing ethnic sounds, vocals, and traditional songs with a contemporary touch. He doesn't limit his performances to conventional venues; instead, he takes his music to unconventional locations such as rice fields, local shops, buses, and beaches, creating unforgettable experiences for his listeners.
