A Historic, Traditional Lutheran Church
Our congregation is part of the historic, traditional Lutheran church, and we are bold to confess the Scriptural teachings of the Reformation. We subscribe unconditionally to the Three Ecumenical Creeds: The Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.

We believe, teach, and confess the truths of Scripture in full accordance with the unaltered Augsburg Confession (1530), not inasmuch as but because it is a faithful exposition of the inspired, inerrant Holy Scriptures. We also fully subscribe to the other articles of Lutheran agreement in the Book of Concord (1580) because they too are a pure exposition of the Bible, the written Word of God.

The Meaning Behind Our Name
The name “Redeemer” points to Jesus Christ who alone redeems us, or buys us back, from sin, death, and the power of the devil, not with gold or silver, but with his holy precious blood and with his innocent suffering and death. Our church seal (below) gives prominence to the means of grace (i.e. the Word and the Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper) by which the merits of Christ’s work are revealed and imparted to us.
